Annual Report

2022-2023

The Department of Computer Science was established in 2008-09. The department offers a Three years course, B.Sc. in Computer Science & Two years M.Sc. in Computer Science 2010-11.Our department that aims at providing quality education in Computer Science. As with any education institution, students give the department a dynamic character and an active culture towards Computer Science, guided by their faculty. Apart from teaching postgraduate level Computer Science, the faculty is also involved in research and development programs. The support structure of the department provides all the required non-academic support to the students and the faculty. Our department offers core courses as well as enrichment courses.

1.Teachers Day

On 5th September, 2022 (Monday), Our students  organized Teachers’ Day celebrations. The function took place in the Classroom of the college..All students decorated their classrooms and gave their teachers a bouquet of roses and Gift. The speech by the HOD, the students of Class 9 and 10 performed a comedy-drama that everyone enjoyed.The CR of Class gave a vote of thanks on behalf of the teachers and also appreciated the teachers for their immense contribution to the institution for years. The entire program ended on a happy note.

2 .Workshop on  Numpy, Pandas, MatplotLib with Machine Learning

Workshop on Numpy, Pandas, MatplotLib with Machine Learning was conducted on 29th September to 19nd October 2022  at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College,Vashi ..This  Teachers Students Training Program has been sponsored by RUSA(Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) and collaboration with Pinnacle Infotech Vashi

A total number  of  around 26  participants  attended the workshop offline.

3.Three Days National Level Workshop on “Statistical Analysis Using SPSS for Research”


Three Days National Level  Workshop on Statistical Analysis Using SPSS for Research was conducted on 30th September to 2nd October 2022  at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College,Vashi .This workshop  was conducted by Dr. Dinesh Gabhane.A total number  of  around 148  participants  attended the workshop online.

4.Workshop on Graphics Design

Workshop on Graphics Design  has been conducted from 28th Sept 2022 to 19th Oct 2022, at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College,Vashi .This  Teachers Students Training Program has been sponsored by RUSA(Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) and collaboration with Jeestha Solutions

A total of 26 students attended the workshop.

5.Workshop on Web Technology (CSS, Javascript & PHP)

Workshop on Web Technology (CSS, Javascript & PHP)  has been conducted from 20th Sept 2022 to 26th Sept 2022, at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College,Vashi .This  Teachers Students Training Program has been sponsored by RUSA(Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) and collaboration with Spectrum i-tech Vashi

6.Seminar on Research Methodology and Intellectual Property Rights and Patent Procedure.

Seminar on Research methodology and Intellectual Property Rights and Patent Procedure was conducted on 10th Sept  2022  at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College,Vashi .This  seminar  has been organized by Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cell in collaboration with Physics Department of college.A total of  students 22 and 1 Faculty of Computer Science Department attended  the seminar.

7.Workshop on Power BI


 Workshop on Power BI was conducted on 27th August 2022  at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College,Vashi .This workshop  was conducted by Mr.Sohail Shaikh.  A total number  of  24 students and  1 faculty attended the workshop.

8.  Webinar on AWS

Webinar on AWS was conducted on 26h August 2022  at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College,Vashi. This seminar has been conducted by the Jetkings.

9.Webinar on Investment Awareness 

Webinar on Investment Awareness Program has been conducted on 27th July  2022  at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College,Vashi .This  webinar  has been conducted by Skill Council of India.  A total Number of 19 students and 1 faculty attended the webinar.

10. Seminar on Career Guidance

Seminar on Career Guidance has been conducted on 8th August  2022  at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College,Vashi .This  seminar  has been conducted by Mr. Shivam .A total number of  students 45 and2 Faculty in the seminar. Envisioning to empower 1 million undergraduates to craft the careers of their choosing, we offer a variety of aptly matched and mentor-driven preparatory programs for national & international entrance exams and admissions consulting services for graduate & business schools, both abroad and in India.

11.One day Seminar in association with Mr.Shivam Djadve on 6td August  2022 at 2.00pm

        

  Seminar arranged by the Department of Computer Science for SYBSc CS class.Spokesperson was  our prominent alumni Mr. Shivam Djadve . He is currently working as a Tech Lead in Fable Fintech company with more than 2+ years of proven industry experience in the field of Software Training.He has knowledge of various programming languages like C,C++, Java,Python,GoLang and knowledge of databases like Oracle 9i, Microsoft sql server, pl/sql,mysql and has a knowledge of Flash, Photoshop, MS-office, Advance Excel .

12.Technical Fest – Algo-Rhythm

Rayat Shikshan Sanstha’s , Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil  College Vashi , Department of Computer Science & Data Science   organized The Eleventh Technical Fest – “Algo-Rhythm” in the 2022-2023 academic year. Aptly called a Tech Fest, the fascinating outcome of this event with the aim of providing a platform for the students to develop and showcase their technical talents. Younger and ever new talent to take the challenge of the year ahead.

Activities

1]F.Y.C.S Orientation program:-

             “F.Y.C.S Orientation program”, was organized on 21st September 2021.     About 35 students and 4 faculty members participated in the program for a duration of 2 hours where they were introduced to the information regarding college department, teachers and subjects about how their curriculum and other student centric activities would be conducted.



2]M.Sc. I Introduction program:-

             “M.Sc. I CS Orientation program”, was organized on 25th August 2021.     About 20 students and 4 faculty members participated in the program for a duration of 2 hours where they were introduced to the information regarding college department, teachers and subjects about how their curriculum and other student centric activities would be conducted.



3] Emerging technologies:Machine Learning & Big Data Analysis Webinar:- 

Emerging technologies:Machine Learning & Big Data Analysis webinar was organized on 25th September 2021. A total of 56  participants attended the workshop. Among the participants 52 students were there and 4 faculty. This webinar has been sponsored by One day webinar in association with IIHT, kharghar. The webinar content were current working Trends in Machine learning and Big data, opportunities in Machine learning, and discussed detailed modules about AI projects. 



4] Securing data with cyber expert Webinar:-

Securing data with cyber expert Webinar was organized on 9th october 2021. About 56 students and 04  faculties were present. The webinar  has been conducted by IIHT, kharghar. The webinar content was Packet tracing through Wireshark Tool, Analyzing the message format through proper channel, understanding the encryption format from various sources.  




5] Research paper writing & literature review process in Computer Science Webinar:-

“Research paper writing & literature review process in Computer Science” Webinar was organized on 16th October 2021. A total of 56  participants attended the workshop. Among the participants 56 students were there and 5 faculty.  This webinar has been conducted by Research expert Dr. Manisha Diwate. The webinar content were Current Database and open platform use for machine learning, learn to understand research design process in Computer Science, discuss detailed literature review paper format.



6] Faculty Training Program on Advanced Python:-

The Faculty Training Program on Advanced Python was organized from 22 nd Nov 2021 to 27th Nov 2021. Total 7 faculties have participated in the faculty training program. This  Faculty Training Program  has been conducted free of charge by Spectrum i-Tech. The FDP contents were Python Numpy, Python Matplotlib, Python Pandas. 




7] Power BI Webinar:- 

Power BI webinar was organized on 23rd Dec  2021. A total of 52 students and 2  faculties attended the webinar. This  webinar  has been conducted by Spectrum i-Tech. The webinar content were introduction of BI, advantages of BI, introduction of Power BI, architecture of Power BI.

8] Blockchain Webinar:-

              “Blockchain webinar was organized on 21st Jan  2022. About 47 students and 02  faculties were present. The webinar  has been conducted by Jetking. The contents of the webinar were introduction to blockchain, security in block chain, advantages of blockchain etc. 




9] Algo-Rhythm Technical Fest:

“Algo-Rhythm” Technical Fest was organized on 5th and 7th March 2022. Tech fest was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Data Science under the Students Association. The theme of the fest was ‘All Go With Rhythm’. The students’ outshined each other with all their innovations, designing ideas with electronic and technical views permutations .Inquisitive about campus life and future expectation required by outside trends, students come up with their best. Events organized were BGMI, Chess, Bollywood Chaska, 1 Minute Games, Brainiac, Treasure Hunt etc.
