Activity Conducted

During the academic year 2018-2019 the following activities have been conducted by the department:

• Additional Lectures for remedial coaching for slow learners of F.Y., S.Y. and T.Y.B.Sc. to improve results. We have conducted many class tests for T.Y.B.Sc.
• Under DBT-STAR College Scheme, introduced new practicals and provided hands on training to F.Y., S.Y. and T.Y.B.Sc. students
• Provides Skill Based Courses on Soil Water analysis, Forensic Science and Quality Control and Quality Assurance for UG and PG students.
• Organized four   industrial visits at;

1. One day workshop on International Year of Periodical Table (IYPT-2019) at BARC on 16^th February 2019.
2. Forensic Science Laboratories Kalina, Mumbai, on 07/01/2019
3. Pratap Organics Ltd, Pawane,  MIDC Navi Mumbai on 22/02/2019

Nearly 250 Students were participated in this visit.

• In order to mark completion of 75^th year for the discovery of chain reaction talent search examination was held more than 150 students were participated in the examination held in association with BARC on the eve of celebration of World Nuclear Energy Day.

• As a part of Environment Consciousness and social responsibility, the students of the Department have carried out theanalysis of 25 samples of soil and water from DapoliPargaon village during the residential NSS camp. The reports of the analysis were shared with the respective farmers to take the necessary action while farming.

• In order to mark completion of 76^th year for the discovery of chain reaction talent search examination was held more than 230  students were participated in the examination held in association with BARC on the eve of celebration of World Nuclear Energy Day.

• As a part of Environment Consciousness and social responsibility, the students of the Department have carried out the analysis of 55samples of soil and water from DevichaPada village during the residential NSS camp. The reports of the analysis were shared with the respective farmers to take the necessary action while farming.

During the academic year 2020-2021 the following activities have been conducted by the department:

• Additional Lectures and remedial coaching for slow learners of F.Y., S.Y., and T.Y.B.Sc. to improve results.
• Under DBT-STAR College Scheme, introduced new practicals and provided hands-on training to F.Y., S.Y., and T.Y.B.Sc. students
• Provides Skill Based Courses on Dairy Science, Forensic Science, and Quality Control and Quality Assurance for UG and PG students.
• Organized industrial visits for FYBSC, S.Y.B.Sc, TYBSC, M.SC to cleanchem Laboratories Maphe Navi Mumbai
• To mark the completion of the 77^th year for the discovery of chain reaction talent search examination was held more than 280  students have participated in the examination held in association with BARC on the event of celebration of World Nuclear Energy Day.
• As a part of social responsibility, of Covid pandemic situation department prepared the Sanitizer for the Teaching staff and Non-teaching staff of the College.
