It is well known fact that Information Technology (IT) Institutes have been gaining ground in India as they have been responsible to produce a number of trained and talented students in the field. A large exodus of M. Sc. /MCA to US, Germany and UK has taken place from India due to availability of cost effective manpower. At the same time, local IT Companies like; Infosys, WIPRO, TCS, HCL etc. intensively involved in IT and networking solutions for better business prospects have been recruiting IT trained students. However, they are very particular in engaging for advance training as well as placement to those students who are passed out from the reputed and primer colleges/institutes.

In the light of the above, a Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College Vashi, Navi Mumbai has established the Department of Information Technology under the umbrella of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha in 2006 in order to join the race. It has been our endeavor and goal to produce talented students who could be absorbed in such companies which may add value to our Institute.

The Department of Information Technology of Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College Vashi has begun its journey in the year 2006 and gradually has grown its expertise and competence in the curriculum. The department has a state or f art labs with top configuration computers for the use of students.

The Department hosts several national seminars and inter-collegiate and intra-collegiate programs like ZEAL and Tech-Swift. We also conduct various talks from eminent personalities on various subjects provide students with the upcoming trends in the field of IT. We also encourage internship activities, research projects and publications, extracurricular activities and skill enhancement programmes.
