Activities Conducted in the year 2021-2022

  1. On 11th October 2021, the Department of Food Technology organized “Advanced Cake Workshop” by inviting Ms. Darshana Kale (Proprietor, Celebrations Cake &More).

  2. On 18th October 2021, the Department of Food Technology celebrated World Food Day by scheduling a session on “Sustainable and safe Packaging in Food and Beverage Sector” delivered by Mr. Kshitiz Bagla, QA, Pioneer Foods Pvt. Ltd, Rajasthan.

Activities Conducted in the year 2020-2021

  1. On 30th June 2021, a webinar was conducted on Importance of Rheology Analysis in New Product Development by Dr. Pravin Bhushette- Assistant professor, D. Y. Patil Deemed to be University, Navi Mumbai School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics

  2. On 16th October 2020, on the occasion of World Food Day, the Department of Food Technology organized a webinar on Retro foods- a healthy approach of food by Mr. Akshay Kadam (DGM, Ex.HUL, Ex.Colgate Palmolive ltd.) 

  3. On 26th October 2020, the Department of Food Technology organized “Cake Making Workshop” by inviting Ms. Darshana Kale (Proprietor, Celebrations Cake &More).

  4. On 4th November 2020, Department of Food Technology organized a webinar on Processing Technique and Food Safety by Prajaktta Parab- Founder, Spectrum Food Solutions)

  5. On 5th November 2020, Department of Food Technology organized a Fostac Training to 30 students of Food technology.


Activities Conducted in the year 2019-2020

  1. A competition on Nutritive Snack preparation was conducted on the 19th of September 2019 in the Food Technology Laboratory for the students of B.Voc

  2. On the 20th of September 2019, Poster making Competition and Salad Dressing Competition was held in the Food Technology Laboratory for the students of B.Voc on topics related to the field of Food Technology.

  3. On the 21st of September 2019, an invited talk on Basics of Food Processing and Technology was conducted in the Conference Hall by Mr Ashish Dabade – Assistant Professor Food Science and Technology, D.Y.Patil School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.

  4. Two days’ workshop arranged on Industrial Setup and Packaging Design on 11th and 12th March 2020 for B.Voc students of Food Technology.
