The Alumni Association Committee of Karmaveer Bhaurao College, Vashi has been functioning for many years as a supportive organ of the college and playing a pivotal role in the pursuit of excellence in the field  of higher education.

Alumni Association has contributed immensely to the development of college students and the academic endeavors of the college. The various alumni are    invited by different departments of the college for the guest lectures and to give the knowledge of industries, National Laboratories and the new development in the various fields to the college students regularly.

MISSION:

 

1. Maintain and mentoring for higher education studies.

2. Provide consultancy for community initiatives.

3. To provide job opportunities to fresh bachelors through references of professionals.

4. To conduct orientation and training programs to students on various topics to enhance their skills.

5. To provide a platform for students to develop their qualities.

6. To participate in social welfare activities for social accountability

Activities Conducted:

1. Alumni Activities Committee was organized first meeting for annual planning on 7th August, 2020 at 11.00am in the Microbiology department under the leadership of Chairman. We planned all activities to be conducted in the year.   31Alumni and staff were present.

2. Second meeting was held on13th October,2020 at 11.00am by online mode for work distribution for smooth conduction of all activities. 95 alumni and staff were present.

3. Third meeting was organized with all HODs of the departments and Chairman of NSS, Art Circle and Gymkhana under the leadership of Hon. Principal Dr Shubhada Nayak and Hon. Vice Principal Mr C.D. Bhosale Sir and Dr Rajeshri Ghorpade Madam. 28 Alumni were present.

The agenda of meeting was to strengthen the Alumni Association of our college on Monday (05/04/2021) at 12. 30 pm( online). We are came to  conclusion that next year will reform the new body along with working committee and appeal for financial support  to poor and needy students in the form of donation so we decided to make appeal for alumni.

3. “Advanced  Instrumentation” by Ms. Shradha Shinde-Dongre, Mr. Pramod Salunkhe, SASMIRA, Sasmira Marg, Worli, Mumbai. Number of beneficiaries- 23

4. “Basic Techniques in Haematology” by Ms. Rakhi Chaudankar, K.B.P. College, Vashi. Number of beneficiaries- 19

5. “Role of Artificial Intelligence in Biological sciences” by Ms. Siddhi Sawant.- Number of beneficiaries-67

6. “Options of Higher Education in India in Life Sciences” by Mr. Prithviraj Erande.- Number of beneficiaries-37

7. “ Education Overseas Options” by Vivek Parab- Number of beneficiaries-40

• Financial support for development of college and department and helping deserving poor students,(donations).

Alumni Activities Committee is taken initiative to collect fund for poor students from staff and Alumni under the guidance of Hon. Prin. Shubhada Nayak Madam. We collected Rs 16,00000/- from Alumni some amount is distributed to the needy students.
